Meet Captain who is a very special 4-year-old boy who is looking for a very special home. He arrived at Greenacres as a stray and it soon became clear that he wasn't quite himself. Captain was diagnosed with feline plasma cell pododermatitis, sometimes known as Pillow Pad, which is an autoimmune condition that causes the pads on his feet to become soft and pillow-like. He has received extensive treatment and care from our vets and is now in a much better place and ready to start looking for his forever home. 

Because Captain's condition can be affected by stress, finding the right home and making his transition as calm and gentle as possible is really important. He will need to be a house cat and the only pet, helping to keep his stress levels as low as possible. But please don't let his medical history put you off — Captain is quite simply one of the sweetest, friendliest cats you could hope to meet.  He loves people and would make a wonderful companion for someone who can offer him the peaceful, loving home he deserves. We are looking for that very special person who will see beyond his condition and give Captain the happy future he deserves.
